The ECM does the following as the temperature rises or continues to rise, in this order:
1.Richen fuel mixture both cylinders
2.Start firing only every other firing stroke, every other cylinder
3.Start firing rear cylinder every three firing strokes
4.Completely stop firing rear cylinder.
Mine is an 08 Rocker, dont know when the ECM and fuel injection was started to be installed. It has to be a year or model that has fuel injection, as a carb cannot be stopped flowing fuel for one stroke.
The super tuner software manual give complete descriptions of the process. i may not be exactly correct, but it is close as i remember.
the first time mine did it, i was about to croak! a bike with 150 miles on it and now it was "missing". BUT just move the throttle and the beast comes back on line just like it never happened.
