Default Dealer?

Hey everyone, my father and I used to build Harleys in Indiana for as long back as I can remember. I am in the Army now, two tours of duty in Iraq for a total of 30 months in combat, and spent about 3 years in Germany. I just got back stateside and am now stationed in Hawaii. Here is the deal..

I have built bikes from parts for less than a grand in Indiana. In Hawaii, everything is priced somethin crazy. Harley shop wants to charge 400 dollars for a set of handle bars, 400 for cables, and another 500 for service if I chose to have it done by them (which i wouldnt).

I just got a 2001 Fatboy and the stock bars are too small. I'm 6'1, and 280 lbs and my elbows hurt if I ride too far. Does anyone know where I can get cables (braided or vinyl) and some 18" apes for less than 200 per? Thanks everyone!

Default Good Product

+1 I installed a set of 16inch from them in December...have worked well for me. Bars, cables, and internally wired with switches...for a good price.

I just picked up a set of Santee bars for $104 from J&P. All three cables cost me just short of $200 from PhatPerformance. Brake line was around $40 from Phat. Nice thing about Phat is you can specify the exact cable sizes you want in 2" increments. I got the Platinum finish which tacked on $30, $10 per cable.

My exact prices are here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...ubby-apes.html

So i bought the bars off a guy in Indiana. They are going to be shipped to me this weekend. I want to get braided cable, but dont know exactly what to get? I have never ordered offline before so this is a learning experience for me, I just dont want it to be a 500 dollar mistake. And where should I order my gaskets from?
