Myself, I started collecting parts here and there as the research went as to what I wanted to have done over the winter.

Check out VeeTwin Performance (Vendor here) for 95 Inch jugs and pistons. Vee Twin also does heads or I believe you can buy a complete set ready to go if you don't have cores.

I found my ported/polished heads on Ebay complete with larger valves, springs, new seals and what not....might have paid too much but after talking to Ivan he seemed to know what he was talking about.

*Note, I found out about Vee Twin after the purchase of the above heads.

Cams and what not I shopped Phat Performance (another vendor here) where I found about the best prices on a number of things...I opted for Fueling Reaper 574 Cams and their Race Roller Lifters after talking directly to the guys at Fueling.

Watched Ebay and picked up a NIB SE Super Tuner II really cheap.

So after collecting all the parts I headed to the dealer to talk it over with the tech I have do me work....Kudo's to Quentin at Saddleback HD.

One thing I didn't think of was the motor breathing...I thought the K&N would have been good to go inside the stock football A/C. Not so as I was advised so opted to upgrade the the SE Heavy Breather and a Retro Vintage round cover.

You might also want to be ready to pop for longer push rods depending on the lift of the cams you go with.

And lastly, watch Ebay for a SE HD Clutch Spring that comes in the SE Kit or pick one up at the dealer.

Don't forget, the gasket set is another expense some don't thing about.

I had my SB picked up, parts ordered I didn't have and a week later my bike looked like the picture above.

Also think about picking up some BCT Baffles and lose the stock or what ever you have now Baffles........Big Air In gotta have Bigger Air out....another $80.00.

I could have had the bike stored for the winter with the work I had done plus with the new motor I get a FREE trip to the Dyno after 1000 break in.
