Default 08 Heritage Handle bars. Help!

Ok so I have searched and am more confused than when I started. Way to many options out there.

Here what I am trying to solve for:

2008 Heritage FLSTC Stock seat and Stock Bars pulled back a little. (any further would be uncomfortable (to low) but i need to be back about another 1 1/2"

I am 5'8" with a 30 in inseam and 32 in arms.

I am thinking about 12" mini apes but not sure what options are out there.

I would like to just do bars at this time and not cables. Some seem to have gotten away with this and other not.

Any others riding a Heritage that are my size? What did you install? Did it require cables?

I really don't want to go above the shoulders as we take long rides and don't want my hands going numb.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Jim

Before I installed my apes, I ran a pair of pullback risers from a Deluxe under my stock Heritage bars. They put you about 3" or so up and about an 1" or so back. I"ll make you a deal on 'em...

No cable changes were necessary, although I did remove 1 brake line clamp.

might be interested until i am ready to swallow the bullet and do bars and cables. What did you have in mind?

Also are you the same or close size?

What bars/cables did you go with?

Thanks

If jdunn01 decides to pass on the risers, I would be interested in them.

I just put 12-inch mini-apes on my Heritage and they have more pullback than the stock Heritage bar. Plus, you can tilt them back even more. Very comfortable now. I'm 5-9 and don't get that high shoulder ache any more. I'll include some before and after photos. 12 inches was the highest I could go without replacing any cables.

It works for me, hope this helps...

TAmac, Did you have to re3place cables when you put on the 12 in mini apes?

What brand of apes did you install?

Thanks,

Opps sorry just re-read an see you didn't have to change cables.

Thanks,
Drag Specialties. Didn't have to replace any cables, though it was a tad tight. I couldn't have gone any higher without replacing cables, otherwise I probably would have. Love the way they look and feel...
