I have the 3" Leatherworks and the "100 Small Round Plain Tool Bag" on mine.
I used WARG's blog as a starting point to mount mine on diamond plate. http://www.chasinwhitelines.blogspot.com/
Mine had to be shifted forward to clear the Roto-Plate swing-arm mount.
I used polished stainless bolts and chrome spacers with a three point mount using the stock belt guard mounts.
I've got the Leatherworks 312XL (5") and I love it.. Perfect for a hoodie or just crap in general.. Wish I had gotten one a long time ago.. I didn't want straps/buckles or plastic clips so I asked if they had the 90* twists which they did and I like them a lot.. Much easier to get into the bag while sitting on the bike if you need something at a stop.. Very happy with the quality too..
*Problem Solved*
I just decided to go to my local Harley stealer and pick up one they had for the softail models. The parts guy promptly reminded me that the part number stated "Except FXCW/C" (as with most softail accessories). However, with a few simple modifications, the bag fits great and doesn't look too bad either.
