I have the HD swing arm bag on my FB Lo...I had to loosen the belt guard to install the nylon straps...no biggie.

Recently I picked up a LW 5" bag...temp installed it and DO NOT like it. Yes, the bag is better leather quality...but, the fat bag looks out of place on the bike IMHO. also, the straps are narrow and do not even hide the quick release snaps.

I just reinstalled the HD bag...realizing neither will carry what saddle bags will. Killer when my last few bikes were a Road King and a Street Glide.

I may look at the Garage Leathers bag in the future. but, honestly...it's not a big deal to me...and the bike looks better w/o any bag at all.

Now...the bags some here have from the guy in California who no longer makes them...they look like they are the bomb.

YMMV

1 - whatever you do do not buy Larosa from ebay, just see how many are there you will know the 'lack of quality' and it makes a huge difference , unless you want to throw money in the garbage.
2 - wrap duct tape around Swing arm if not chromed, the leather straps will scratch all paintings.
3 - do not buy Larosa
4 - you can add your own studs and it makes a big difference.
5 - When you search, make sure you do not use the Larosa ones LOL

I put the H.D. 3" bag on my Luxe. Perfect size for light weight jacket, gloves and sungasses. IMO the 5" would look to big. Might as well put saddle bags on. Oh and also I didnt use the straps that came with. I bolted on with 3 bolts. Keeps the bag away from swing arm. No paint scratches. Easy on off with allen wrench.

Actually, based on my experience with the bag mounted on the bike and any woman willing to talk about the issue, 5" is really not as big as you might think. Even if the bike was underwater, where everything is looks 25% larger, still comes up a little short. Peace - Kevin.

I haven't gotten one yet but when I do I'll go Garage Leathers. I like the buckles they offer and they have more of a "home made" unmanufactured look. On the other hand they are a tad more expensive than the LW bag offered by Dr. V-Twin.

I think the tad is $220 vs. $160 GL vs. LW.

+ 1 for Garage Leathers; this is my second bag (sold the first one with the bike) and quality is top notch.
