Thanks bro, I saw that. I tried that last weekend however with my jack it gets in the way of the string on the right side. I have an 8ft long straight edge also. I will see if it works on the left side.

You should even be able to do it on the side stand, once you put the string on it, just set it so the front wheel is held straight with it. Not as easy perhaps but it should still work.
