Might be a sign of a bad solenoid.
The relay burning out typically indicates that it has a larger than designed load it's switching off and on.
A starter with bad brushes or damaged windings, even bad or worn bushings can create a larger than designed load when cranking. The starter will often still work as it's dying but these are the some of the issues that could lead to it being a starter starting to wear out.
