Just had a new starter put in, and three days later bike wants to start even with key off. Stuck solenoid???? I disconnected the relays, and still happens.I have isolated it to the starter I think. Any feedback would be appreciated..
My 04 FXd had the same problem. It was a bad starter switch on the handle bars.
A bad start switch shouldn't cause the starter to engage when the ignition is off. There is no power going to the starter button on the handlebars....Think about it...The starter won't engage if you push the button with the igniton off.
I think his problem is solenoid related. Matter of fact, I'm sure it is. You can engage the solenoid irregardless of whether the igniton is on. The solenoid always has power. I have one of those push buttons on my solenoid. You can push it and the starter will turn over anytime.
