I'm currently on the fence right now, I have never owned anything but a softail.
Been looking at a 2010 RG with less than 7k on it, it was a trade in and the guy that owned it, trades his bike in every year for a new one. I will say that I do love the way a softail handles and now that I have rode both the 2012 and this RG.....they are sweet rides. I just can't keep two right now.............LOL........wished I could!

I owned a '97 Fatboy, which I enjoyed, friends of mine always pressured me on getting a RK. Unfortunatley I took their advice. I felt I was too isolated from the road with the RK. And personally I think Softails are the best looking Harleys. So I sold my RK, and ordered my '12 Deluxe which should come in 2 weeks.

From 1981 until 2008, I only had kick start and rigid frames. I had a 1968 rigid frame/kick start as my last and my first was a Sportster chopper I built in 1981.

I guess I am getting old but after my Springer softail and push button start I bought in 2008, I could not think of going back. I now have a Heritage and it sure is nice to have the confidence to take a tour and not have to work about which spare parts to bring! Plus, the softail still gives me the rigid styling to boot.

I went from as Deluxe to a RK and then a Ultra and now I am back at a Deluxe. I really like the way you sit into the frame on a softail versus on top of the frame on a touring.

I keep telling myself I want a touring bike of some kind one day, but I have the feeling I'll be just saying that for a very long time. I really love my softail.

There is just something about the Softails that no other bike has. The minute you set on the saddle you know you are on the right bike. It really does not matter which one. They all have that feel like you fit one with the machine. If you are as fortunate as me to have an EVO powered Softail, it's just icing on the cake.

Yes, I had traded it in on a 10 Ultra in the fall of 09. Missed it so much that I went back in the spring and bought it back. The dealer was good enough to let me have it for the amount he gave me on trade.

It's a 07 Vivid Black FXSTC. To me it is the finest looking bike of all.

This is when I took all the accessories off and was headed to the dealer to trade.
