It is getting colder and wetter here, especially in the mornings. I was earlier considering the chrome wind deflectors, but am now wondering if soft lowers would do the job.
I am trying Airlite Engine Guard Covers for the first time on my Heritage. It has not been cold enough to really give them a try but I like the one piece design.
Chrome wind deflectors will transform your highway riding into a much more comfortable experience . . . and somewhat keep off heavy rain. They also increase your front end visibility from a safety perspective.
I've run both. I actually left my chrome deflectors
on all summer. But when it's really crappy or cold I run
the soft lwrs. I have those Desert Dawg lowers. Work great.
Seconds to install or remove. My wife uses the Harley ones
when needed.
Great combo though, when it's cold and/or wet.
I got a pair of them (SoftailŽ Chrome Wind Deflectors)
for a softail for $50 shipped in Cont. U.S. if you're interested. Excellent shape. I used them for about a week on my Fat Boy Lo last year.
They work great, they are chrome. For me, the chrome doesn't look as good on the denim black so I got a black engine guard and black Desert Dawg lowers.
I guess I could have got them powdercoated black but my friend gave me the engine guard so all I needed was the lowers.
Pm me if interested.
