+1 on the service records. I wouldn't consider 17k high miles, but if the bike hasn't been regularly serviced, it could spell trouble down the road. Plus there are many low mile bikes to choose from (at least in my market).

Thanks for the info! Yes I'm buying it through a dealer who will do the 20K service, new tires, and I'm checking on if all other maintenance was done to the bike. I'm thinking it probably was due to the fact that the bike looks immaculate.

I bought my 08 with 32K on it - so far I have put an additional 6k on there and no problems at all.

You should be fine. You might even ride it less than the original owner did.

It all depends. How much are they asking for it? When I bought my Heritage I was seriously looking at an 06 Deluxe, very nice bike with 13000 miles on it. They wanted $14500 for it and would not budge. It did have bags, windshield and some other goodies on it. My wife was with me while I was looking at it and she looked at me and said ..."are you nuts? For $3500 more dollars you can get a brand new Heritage sitting in their showroom with 9 miles on it and a two year warranty."

I bought the new Heritage the next day.

21K on my 07 with no issues. Consider it fairly low mileage.

Echo what the others have said. Besides, you're buying it from a dealer & they will have looked it over good.

My wife had a slip of the tongue like that too last summer. She said okay to a Porsche. I bought one a few hours later before she came to her senses.

You start riding a 5 year old bike that only has 300 miles on it, and I'll show you a bike that's gonna start pukin' out from behind every seal in a few thousand miles.

For an '07... 17k IS low miles. ****** that girl up and ride like the wind.
