I have the same bike with a carb. The most ive gotten out of her is 85mph, then It feels like im pushing the bike to hard for my liking. The bike loves to cruise at 75 and thats good enough for me. I looked at the 95 cubic inch set up, and you figure for 3500.00 I get only a little more pep for that money.
So why do you need over 100?? If you wanna race get a crotch rocket, if you wanna haul *** around town step on it, mines a 120hp Softy and i haven't felt the need to taker past 100. I don't think anyone buys a Harley lookin to set speed records...No 5th isnt overdrive. Explain what your lookin for mayb we can help. Teflon
Just got back from Las Vegas today. Not that I would ever speed, but I might have hit 110 on the way there and the way back just to see how the new heads are performing. Needless to say I am satisfied.
My bike is a 2002 that I did a 95" big bore kit on, SE203 cams, SE hydraulic cam plate, and the newer 96" heads in stock form. This bike see fast. I remember going to Laughlin when I first bought the bike 5 years ago and I took it up to about the same. It had a stage 1 on it with the dealer download for a tuner.
Thats interesting. You're trying to wring out a bike with 291 miles on it. The motor isn't even broken in yet. It's a good way to destroy your bike. Give it a chance to loosen up before you beat it to death.

Sorry for the confusion..... I bought the bike last year with 291 miles on it and it now has a little over13k.
