Default Exhaust Wrapping

For those of you who have wrapped ur pipes did you wrap over top your heat shields or remove the heat shields then wrap? And if you did wrap without heat shields how did you wrap around the pipes were it is bolted to the frame? I've got a bracket on each pipe that sticks out half an inch or so and is about three inches long, I'm running V and H short shots. Any help appreciated, thanks Doug

you definitely need to remove the shields.. also remove the pipes from the bike to wrap them..

Lava wrap dry, cut and install heat shields where your leg goes while stopped.

you can do it anyway you like, i left my heat shields on and grew up taping hockey sticks playing hockey so it was pretty easy for me, left all on the bike, wrapped it nice and tight even over the clamps that hold the heat shields on, patience is what it takes. good luck!

I wrapped my Short Shots with the heat shields on. Taking the pipes off makes it easier to wrap - especially at the bracket.
