There are options but it's pretty hard to beat the OEM CV40. Unless you have a motor capable of horsepower greater than about 110, the OEC CV40 will get the job done. Personally, I think the Woods modified CVs are better performers than the Mik or the S&S; JMHO.
+1 here - very hard to beat and very few others will mileage like it. IMHO too.
the mikuni is a great carb, but i have seen alot of them in the shop lately with alot of corosion fron this ethanol fuel crap they sell now. s&s carbs dont seem to be as prone to the corosion
If buying a brand new one they are now ethanol compatible. The ones coming in are likely originals and rubber likely isn't ethanol proof. OP buy mikuni with confidence. New stock or rebuilds will be ethanol proof. If even a slight doubt exists ask before paying
