I was thinking of ordering Rush, maybe not so much now.

This is one of the reasons, I'm reluctant to order on line. Never know what to expect.
Never had a problem ordering anythng online, been lucky I guess. Got my Rush slip-ons from Phat Performance, good price, no problems..

When I had issues with my Rush-made pipe, their customer service was on the ball. It's a good product, but their quality control on their packing and shipping was weak.

Cool exhaust change

One word - 'Bassani' and the place order from - Dr. V-Twin.

JMHO

This happens more often than people realize. It must have been packaged on a Friday or by someone who was getting laid off.

I love my Bassani pipes but even their QC is a hit or a miss. I had missing hardware when I bought my Road Rage 2-1.

I don't want this to be an argument over who makes the best pipes. As Dr. V mentioned, this happens with all manufacturers and they all send out products with flaws at times. What SUCKS is this happened to me!

I'm pretty sure both/either Rush Performance or the dealer I ordered from will take care of this ASAP and do it right. It's not so much that I wanted to get the pipes on just for the ride and that I was squeezing everything in, it's more that I had the weekend to myself and planned out to where I would get the pipes in, and take my time to make a really cool upgrade to my bike. I'd never done this before, so I wanted to also take my time to take off the stock system. Since I'm going to put on new pipes, I needed them off anyway. Missing the ride is not a biggie, but my high hopes and looking forward to a weekend working on the bike only to have it shot down by crappy packaging errors REALLY makes me mad.

Anyway, the stock system is neatly put away, the garage is cleaned up, and the Rush 2:1s are back in the box awaiting the swap out for the correct pipes.

Thanks everyone and I'll keep you posted on how this turns out. Good suggestions by those who offered the advice! I do expect reimbursement of my 2nd day air expense, a no charge overnight shipment of the correct pipes, AND, if I'm discounted on the price of the pipes, that'll be a nice bonus.
