I ordered the new Rush black ceramic 2 into 1 full system pipes for my 2011 Crossbones. I wanted the pipes for a project this weekend and needed to get the work done today for a ride this afternoon. I paid a bunch of money to have them shipped 2nd day air from the dealer in Austin, Texas, so I could have them by end of day yesterday, and install them this morning. The box arrived right on time.......My wife is away for the weekend.....perfect!!!!! I noticed that the mounting bracket was different than what's pictured in the Rush instructions on their website. I was a little concerned, but thought web photos aren't always of the exact same model and sometimes photos aren't update for the latest year. I had to refer to the website for instructions because they weren't provided in the box!!! I take off my stock system and !#!$!%&%$#!!!!!!! SOB! The bracket I got in the box is for the Dyna, not the softail!!!! The box is clearly labeled "8120-225" for '11 Softail. So, now I have parts in the garage, no bike to ride, a new exhaust I can't install, and neither Rush nor the dealer are open on Saturday! Damn. I wrote a scathing letter to the distributor and to Rush asking for an overnight shipment of the correct bracket and for reimbursement of the cost for 2nd day air. Who knows where this'll end up, but I'm mad as Hell. Not sure if this is the fault of Rush, or of the distributor, or both......but I let them both know what I think.

I think you have every right to be royally pissed, especially if you paid money for second day. If it were me I would be screaming until they took care of the issue. Not necessarily a free set of pipes, but they better be overnighting the new set free of charge, reimbursing you for the 2nd day that you paid, and giving you a hell of a discount/refund on your pipes, like at least 25%.
alot can be said for checking to make sure you have the right parts before you tear the bike down, and not planning a mod like that right before you are going riding. make the ride, then spend the evening the next week doing the mod. i would never tear into my bike the day of or the day before a ride, just incase. what would happen if you had the right set, but twisted off one of the mounting flange bolts, or stripped the spot the bracket attaches to? to much chance of not making the ride.
but thats just me

That stinks but just put the old exaust back on and ride it. it will make you feel better. Take care of it on monday. The wrong parts in the right box is very common.
