2003 Fatboy security
Just picked up a 2003 FAtboy. The key came with a FOB, but how do I see if there is a HD security system on the bike. Looked under the seat and did not see anything. Any other easy way to determine. Harleys security systems kinda scares me, since it can lock out starting if you dont know what you are doing.
Also When I turn on the bike, the red KEY lights for about 4 sec then goes out. Almost afraid to push button on FOB to see what happens!

Push and hold the fob for a few seconds. Your turn signals should blink twice. If the turn sigs blink, you have a security system and it is "armed". Press the fob two times within a few seconds and the blinkers should blink once. The security system is "unarmed". The security module isn't under the seat. It is in front of the rear fender.

Thanks for the info. Bidding on service manual now on ebay. I think I see the security device, but not ready to push the fob yet. Guy I bought it from said he never used it, not even sure the battery is good, and not sure if a personal code was set. I guess the personal code is only good if the fob doesnt work. Probably still 12345. Right now I want to ride while the wx is still good in Vegas. Worry about security later. Jusyt wanted to know if the TSSM was installed. I guess with a FOB and the red key when I turn on ignition was enought to tell me that.
