I didn't get the FOB when I purchased the bike, I'm not having any issues so the security system must be disarmed... I guess?
do I need to get another FOB and mate it to the bike or is there more involved than just that?
I bought it from a Honda dealer and was told it didn't have the security but the red key on the dash lights up when I start it
What year is the bike? At some point HD went to a button-less fob and automatic arming on the security system. My '04 has a button you need to push to turn on the security system; the '11 is just a buttonless fob so you need to have it close to the bike to start it or enter the 5 digit pin using the turn signals.
