It could be difficult to determine whether the clutch is or isn't disengaged while the back tire is off the ground. If you're trying to rotate the tire by hand while holding the clutch lever in, while the bikes in gear, there will be quite a bit of drag on the clutch plates, possibly making them feel like they're still engaged. I'd drop it to the ground and feel it out.

Did you ever leave your bike in gear with the engine off, hold the clutch in and push the bike? you'll feel the clutch drag I'm talking about.

Just a thought...

What year are you working?

Did you adjust the mechanical adjustments (slotted bolt and locking nut) on the clutch, for the push-rod adjustment first?

Thanks that's all it was. Tomorrow I will take it for a ride and see how everything is. I put Redline the tranny so I think that will help it seems to shift better just testing it in the garage.
Again a big thanks..

Just a thought, not saying it is a problem...I was running Redline in my tranny and liked it, BUT one of the folks on the forum had a tranny failure and their were CHUNKS of the suspended particles jammed in the bearings...I then went and checked my Redline bottle I was going to use to change mine and found that it has NO CERTIFICATION NUMBERS at all. I think we are supposed to use a G4 or G5 RATED tranny fluid?? Did not make me feel comfortble leaving it in and had it changed out. Not worth the risk to my tranny IMO...Ride safe!
