yes the pump is no problem with higher torque/hp numbers. obviously higher oil pressure gets more oil to the moving parts, and improves circulation which helps keep temps down. I'm assuming you are reading of the Baisley spring. This is a very good product as the spring is made to a much higher quality that promotes smoother operation of oil pressure relief valve. and also allows for higher operating pressures. I install them in all my bike motors, cheap performance upgrade, (not hp upgrade, oil system, ,) would also recommend a better cam plate which has better oiling passages, some run ball brgs for cams. plus to finish it off, there are aftermarket oil pumps, but if you have a newer (09, newer) the factory oil pump is a very good unit

cam plate has to be out cant really get to the roll pin to remove the valve, (its just easier to do it with it out) knock out the roll pin at the bottom of the plate where the valve is, remove the spring and valve, make sure the valve is very free in the bore, replace it, install new spring, being careful on install the roll pin that you don't catch the spring, and reassemble the cam plate , easy!! down the road motors!!
