I have a softtail built after th 93-99 harley. After she runs for awhile she starts to cutout and die.If your on the road she will come back on with a backfire, once you shut her off she wont start back up until like an hour later. I replaced coil, still no luck .Anyone with any ideas?

 

More info about your bike would help a lot. What's the special construction? Carb or EFI. other mods?

 

ignition pick up in the nose cone they get old, then they get hot and shut off the signal to the coil

 

With what little info we have this sounds like it to me!

 

its a stock 1340 evo 495 lift cam, month old dyna 2000 i ignition, stock harley carb just had the bike dyno'd and has been running great execpt for this and to reiterate brand new coil
