I think the Road King Classic bags look great on a Deluxe. I used to have a RKC and the bags are very well made and they hold their shape well. I would look into adding aftermarket locks. Here's one nice but expensive option ==> http://lockitt.com/accessories_saddlebaglocks.htm
I never felt comfortable leaving much in my unlocked bags when I parked my bike.
I'm riding my un-bagged Lo these days and wear a small backpack when I need to carry stuff.
Samson does have different ends beside Fishtails and Longtails. We also have a straight cut end and a slasher type end which both look cool and different.
Thank you,
JR
No bags on Lo's. If you're gonna tour get a streetglide or such. I will personally contact the FatBoy Police. They will hunt you down, it will get ugly.
my god those things are hugh lol just trade in the deluxe for a geezer glide

After coming across this pic as shown in another OP,
I am seriously thinking of bagging just like the pic. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Even though it may lose a bit of the bar hop coolness, the practical of tossing gear and beer in a matter of a few seconds compared to strapping it to a sissy bar when I go out or overnighters at times. I my as well wrench some bags instead. The idea of black duals on the Lo, I think will look great with or without bags on. I sort of have to plan now since this Friday I go into the tin man to plan out out the fender fittings...where taillight selection is important if I do decide to bag.
With that said, how many peeps have gone through the bag dilemma?
Ok then....after tins are done. Duals it is w/ 'part time' RK bags. Every time I imgaine the Lo with only the duals on, I really dig it. I got about 2 months to decide on brand and 4".
O also...Freedom Performance has 'racing true duals' and was told over the phone by a vendor that they can special order them in black.. Any other make out there that claims to optimize for HP/torque for duals?
My as well leave the bike in the shop this winter, the rate I am going
