If you are thinking about investing some money into a pair of boots for riding then I would get some that are made for riding. Although your average workboot should be ok as long as it covers the ankle in case you go down.
don't work for them just really happy with the boots that I got for $190.
Hunting, hiking, camping, snowy weather, and harley riding.
One pair of boots covers it all.
Danner - "USMC temperate", just speading the love man.
My PD just started buying us Danners. We get a lighter pair and a winter pair. I got a new pair of the winter boots this morning and sent them back for a different size. I talked to 5 different guys this morning about the boots. All of them hate them and were wearing boots that they had paid for themselves over the supplied Danners.
I wouldn't throw my money away on "Harley" boots. They are just some regular boot with Harley stamped on them so they can double the sale price.
I guess if you shop at the dealers, you may pay too much for HD boots. I buy them from other sources and have never paid more than 79 bucks for a pair.
I have been buying Red Wing boots for 30 years both work and dress. Last summer I got the Red Wing Motorcycle boots. Made in China (just like H-D) and looks pretty good. Being Red Wing they fit good right from the start. I paid $118.00 plus tax.
