Default windshield cleaning

I just got a new windshield and don't know what to clean it with. My last one was already scratched so I wasn't too particular with it. I don't wanna scratch this one up though. It is an acrylic one...not sure if thats the same as lexan or not. It is a MAIER replacement and they didn't send any cleaning instructions or answer e-mails. Not getting too many recommendations from me for their customer service. Any help is appreciated her.

DON'T USE WINDEX

Go to the Stealer, or an Indy, or a Honda shop and get some windshield cleaner

Glass cleaners will screw it up and give it a permanent 'haze'

I find what works well is to take and soak a towel in clean warm water and just let it sit on it and soak - once the road debris is completely softened just use wamr soapy water and another clean cloth works fine last along time - just don't start wiping with a rag even if wet, give it some time to soak.

Just use a wet towel. Get the shield wet, wait a couple of minutes and wipe off the bugs, then dry with another terry cloth towel.
