Default Saddlebag attachment question

I received this set of saddlebags for Christmas. They are the type that lay across the fender under the pillion seat and tie to whatever is available underneath. There is a piggin string on the front and back of each bag. I tied the front down to the frame pretty easily, but there is nothing on the back to tie to other than the turn signal, which leaves quite a bit of wiggle room. Has anyone come up with a creative way to tie these down? Am I going to have to buy or fabricate a frame to attach these to? Are they prone to flapping in the wind of do they stay pretty still?

Thanks,
Daniel

If they are going to be on your bike all the time you might want to think about saddlebag supports. Basically a "U" shaped piece that attaches to your fender strut and gives support to your throwover saddlebags. I think they're about $30 or so on ebay.

I agree, I'd never ride with a bag that's not 100% supported. You don't want it getting caught up in your wheel. Lots of options out there for you, but if it was me, I'd lose the strap over your fender and get the proper supports either detachable or not, depending how often you want them on your bike.

Ive got the same style of bags on my 2010 FB Lo. I just tied them up to the frame and rear signal lights, havent had any issues with flapping around.

I, too, would recommend saddlebag supports. They keep them away from your tire and you can use them to tie them down. I bought a pair on ebay for $32, they bolted right on.
