Progressive 422 RAP
Well... they called me back and said the mechanic took the Batwing off and took it for a ride and it did have the shake from 40-45mph as I had told them. He said they did the fall away on it and took it out for another test and it is still shaking. So he is back in the shop with it trying to figure it out.
I also mentioned to them that I thought it was unusual that the front wheel had no balancing weights on it when I bought it from them.
His reply was that about 1 out of 5 come from the factory with no weights because they are balanced as they are and didn't need weights.
I found this hard to believe, especially with that big cast rim, but I suppose it could be true.
Who knows... we will see when they call me back tomorrow.

Hope they figure it out. It can be a headache and as long as they are trying and not just giving an excuse (like it's the batwing) and not continuing to look I say you have a good shop!
They didn't call me back on Friday so I called them this morning figuring that it should be done by now, i dropped it off on Monday. It looks like a great day to ride because today is an unheard of 65* in Jersey in January.
So after being switched to three different people on the phone I finally got the service manager that said they adjusted the fall away, tried balancing the front tire and it still has a bad wobble on decel from 45-40 mph. They said they need to call Harley on Monday because they don't know what's the problem.
Wow, what does that say when they tell you that their certified Harley master technicians can't figure out the problem with your bike?
Looks like I'm gonna get f_cked outta more than just an unusually nice day to go for a ride on my bike in January!
By the way... I finally got the bike back from the dealer. They said it was the front tire. After doing the fall away several times and trying to re balance the tire. They said they couldn't see any visual cupping but when they changed the tire the wobble went away so they replaced the original one with a Dunlop D408. I have read on the forum about Dunlop D407's being recalled. They never mentioned a recall, just that they replaced the tire.

Not saying you didn't have your tires properly inflated, just saying it can happen.
Nice that they kept at it!
