Default Progressive 422 RAP

I was planning on putting some Progressive 422s on over the winter. With the new release of the RAPs, I am wondering if it is worth the extra cost for the remote adjustment. Has anyone installed these yet and have any input?

If you ride two-up, over rough roads in-between solo smooth roads they would be worth it.

I just flick a switch to adjust mine.

i have ordered the standard 422's ,they arrived in the country today, waiting for the courier!
the adjustable ones would of been great, but nearly double the price arent they?
if you are riding 2 up on and off regularly i guess it would be worth it

I got my 422's off the classifieds section here, bike was lowered 1.5" with bolts and stayed 1.5" with them (maybe 1.75") and the difference is amazing, you won't feel it really until you hit a fast sweeper leaned and boy.. it is AMAZING.

I am planning on going about 1 - 1.5 lower in the rear, and I believe that both versions allow that. At full retail the RAPs are about $235 more. I ride 2 up about 25% of the time. I also just noticed on Progressive's site that it looks like the RAP only comes in the HD version? I only weigh about 165, and my wife is about 115, so not sure that I need/want the HD version. Been watching eBay to see if someone throws up some used 422s for a decent price but none for a while.

I just welded my stockers to make a Rigid out of her......

NAW,,, just chitting....

Each to their own,, Said thisbefore, now at 62,, Grandma and I ride bout 10k a yr and we mostly do 30-50 mph on the county roads,,, they are not great smooth roads but not really rough either...

So it pends on each one of our needs.... SO far I am pleased with the stockers till they go bad and then I'll prob get a set of 442's to replace them and since we ride 97% two up I prob just get the reg shocks,, not the adjustable ones.

So it pends on our wants VS needs, so for now I don't think I really need them.

If you're interested in the Progressive 422 (RAP)s Here's the thread on them:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...n-the-fly.html

I think they will work great for a rider that has their suspension set up for solo riding who occasionally has a passenger on and can quickly adjust the shocks for the added weight instead of bottoming out. Then all they have to do is turn the rebound adjuster **** on the shocks to go back to solo riding suspension.
It's the best of both worlds!
Why didn't someone think of this sooner?

I got a quote from Drew at Dr. V-Twin and he has them for a lot less than what Progressive has them for on their site.
