Thanks guys... I am totally leaning towards the 05, I realized that neither color scheme is what I really want but overall both bikes have potential. Even though the 04 has long shots, I will probably get 2into1 so that negates that.

I will be sitting down with the dealer to see if that 10k can become 10k OTD

I have been riding nearly 40 years now. The 06 Deluxe I now have is the very 1st bike I have ever had that has EFI, everything I ever owned has had carbs. When EFI came out years ago I wanted nothing to do with it, i lived and swore by the carb. I now can not imagine going back to a carb now that I have had this EFI. That is ONLY because of performance issues, how it starts and how you can dial it in on a Dyno. Now, having said that, I have never had any problems yet with the EFI system. I can see from reading others posts that when troubles hit with the EFI you can swear and curse the day they invented EFI and put it on a bike!! I guess I am just waiting to see how it goes!! I will say this, I can sure see where it would be easier to figure out, work on or to fix a carb vs the EFI. Good luck Dude!!

I have used both and would take a well tuned Carb over efi any day. Especially if its a good Carb like the 342mm hard flatslide. There soeasy to tune a baby could do it
