I think it looks presentable (considering most non-motorcycle riding people could care less), but if you're like the rest of us, you won't stop until it's exactly right. I know it would drive me crazy.
Kozy I am sure they will make you a bib. If it was me I would just do their red stitching to match thread on a regular style...but if I had to do the checkers...I would keep it inside of the bib and not no run into the perimeter for a cleaner look.
To possibly salvage it, die the red stitching on the bib black. The stitch creases will mirror the seat stitching, and the red thread will not stand out. Just a thought. Otherwise, into the sheit can... lol
fwiw - any of us who work on our own bikes have made mistakes or tried something only not to not like it.
I think you've pretty much already made your mind up Kozy, but for what it worth I think it would look better without it altogether, I had one on mine and I took it off.
Sorry Kozy, it just didnt work for me! But I think not to have the Diamond Stitch carry onto the bib, maybe just a red stitch where the normal stitches are to pick up with the seat?
