Default How bad does this look

So I went and got my fender bib to match my seats diamond stitch, and not happy with results. I'm 99% to blame, not the upholster. He did what I asked for (cheap way with old bib) except i did ask only to stitch the inside (but thats not the problem anyway) Problem is when I did mock ups I didnt factor in the stitching down the middle of my old bib.

So just wondering how bad do you guys think it looks

I've made my share of fabrication mess ups over the years.
Had a welder make a rear fender out of a trailer fender and a little bump like a hump to go behind the seat.
It turned out to be a $800 piece of junk that I ended up buying an aftermarket fiberglass piece to replace it with.
Sometimes things just don't work out.
I see the flaws in it but also see what you were trying to do.
Keep at it till it's the way you want it, otherwise you will never be happy with it.
I think when the pattern is like the seat it will look bad ***!

The pattern should also be matched up more with the seat.
Same size and the ends should match up when done.
Maybe even some thickness to it, instead of flat.

Well....I think that if you asked then you may already know. In my opinion it doesn't look very good. Bibs in general always make me wonder what kind of damage is underneath.

I like your idea of it being inside the inside lines of the bib but with that middle line I think it will still look like an after thought.
A new piece is in order design just for this.

Yeah. I don't think it looks bad, it just doesn't look right. Me being a perfectionist, that would drive me crazy til I got it right!

The pattern is the right size, and the alignment doesnt bother me it's just too much going on.

Thicker would help too

Ya will drive me crazy too. I emailed lePera to see if they make a bib or if I could buy just some stitched vinyl.

I'm thinking I would have another piece of leather stitched on top of that one. I would make it seamless and add the La Pera pattern.
I think the extra piece would give the bib some dimension and match the seat better.
But that's just me.

Great idea but, since ya had to ask us ,I'm sure you were not quite happy with it. It does not look right.
Save your money and down the road get er done to match.
There is a plain one on this site . Or there is one with a red insert .
I have one from Timberwolf and it is excellent quality
PS no damage underneath
