08 NT tins on a 05 fsxt?
I'm in the process of getting parts together for a 200 tire conversion, i need to know if 08 nightrain tins will fit my 05 standard? I might be able to get a good deal on a set. Thanks

I dont see a problem with the front fender or the tank, but you know the back won't fit already... On a 05 you have frame horns for the strut covers and those will need to be cut off. and replaced somehow with the newer 08 struts??? Are you getting those with the deal also?

The problem with the tank (and i'm 84.5% sure i'm wrong).. is the big hole in the top where the fuel pump and all those electronics are.. unless of course your 05 is fuel injected and not carbeurated..

With all the fab you are gonna have to do, I would say do a 180 heartland kit. You gonna do all that work to look like any other 200 tire that pulls up next to you? Just my 2 cents though. Maybe a HL 250 kit...

Like Story said, you will have to cut the frame horns off. I was gonna do this to mine, and then move them to the outside some and reweld. I bought most of the stuff i needed for a 200 conversion and then decided not to do it. I bought a Night Train rear fender with the struts from a 200 rear, to use on mine too.

I was thinking the same thing. Alot if extra work for minimal results. 5.5"rim,180 tire (200 if you go chain drive), cheap e bay fender.
