Default Tall guys and Deluxes

Ok, I know the first answer will be go test ride and see if you like it. I do plan on doing that but wanted some opinions. More and more the looks of the Deluxe have grown on me. Im 6'2'' with a 34'' inseam, how is the seating/position would say for us taller guys ? Would a Road King better suited for us taller guys ? Again, I plan on riding both but looking for thoughts from the guys who have one

IMO, stay away from the Deluxe at your size. I think the Deluxe is best suited for shorter riders that would have trouble reaching the ground.

Not only that, but I think a big guy would just look funny on a Deluxe.

See, that's why you never use your current bike in your forum name...

I just took an informal survey last week so here ya go;

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...xe-riders.html

Road King Classic would prolly suite your needs better, though I took one out recently and felt cramped as far as the floor boards were concerned. I felt more stretched out on the Deluxe - feet out front as opposed to tucked under me - which left me scratching my head. Your results may vary though. Good luck and keep us posted. The fun's in the loOkin'!

WRONG, My deluxe was low to the ground and I had 18 inch apes so I could stretch out my arms. Rode great, comfortable, and sat me low to the ground, so it didnt look like I was a Gorilla F**King a Moped.

Im 6'5'' 270lbs and I didnt feel like it was too small. If fact, since it was so low, it made me look normal, and you look at yourself in windows going down main street just to make sure you look "NORMAL". My advice to the OP, get what you want and dont listen to what people think. You being 6'2, if you just lower the rear alittle bit, and put some mild apes on it, it will be comfortable and ride great. JMHO

Get the deluxe you'll be fine if your legs are cramped up put ness 3" forward extensions on (they'll work for anyone disagreeing) and definitely some apes and you'll look absolutely normal.
