Ok. Don't want to take a lot of your time with my rookie question, but I need recommendations on a set of Beach Bars for my 09 Fatboy FLSTF. Didn't really know where to start, so I figured I would start here... The two things that I'm looking for in these bars are "looks" and comfort listed in order of preference... Obviously they must also fit my particular model and year.
I have a friend I ride with has a set of chubby's on his 02 RK........really likes them. Get the larger diameter bars so you can keep the wires hidden.
I have the Klock Werks Beach Bar, I wouldn't recommend them. They feel fine, but living in a highly corrosive enviroment has taken it's toll. Within the first 6 month they where rusting bad. Next time I'll drop the dime on the HD wide bars. Good luck.
There are quite a few of us on here that are running the Burly 38.5" wide beach bars. I will tell you that I am short with short arms and I was worried about the width of these bars. Almost went with the Wild1's because they are 36" wide, but I am so glad I listened to all the guys here on the forum and went with the Burly's. The lines of the Burly bars are sweet and smooth. For my taste, the Wild1's bends are to abrupt and dont flow like the Burly's do. These bars have transformed my bike from a decent ride, to the most natural comfortable ride I can imagine. Check out my winter mod thread, or NC'deluxe's "vicla" thread...tons of pictures of these bars on a deluxe. I know you dont have a deluxe, but these bars would look great on your bike IMO.

How are those bars at highway speeds? Seems like you're set up to catch a lot of wind sitting straight up like that with arms nearly down at your sides...
I feel the wind mostly in my chest, doesnt seem to bother my arms at all. I dont ride with them down as far as the cool kids. Its a very natural position like ur sitting in a recliner watchin a ball game. Couldnt be more comfortable. Now maybe if you got big guns like Socal Yankee, them maybe ur feelin some drag but not me.
