Default A "baffling" question.

Looking for any techniques or advise on removing a baffle from my V&H Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes. Pipes are new and are not on the bike. Replacing them with the Big City Thunder baffles and had zero problems with the first one. I just grabbed one of the end baffle "notches" inside with some point ended pliers and out she came. Not so much on the second one. Not budging. I was hesitant to spray/use and lubricant as I wouldn't want any of it inside the pipe. Anybody have a good technique for a baffle removal? Thanks fellas.

Marty, try a little loosener in a spray can. I think it will be okay and will burn off rather quickly, of course we don't want it on your pant leg but it will be fast as soon as you clean as much as you can.

Don't have V&H's, but on my Rush I first remove the bolts then I take the 1/4'' dia. rod thats about 12'' long that I made that I bent a 180* hook on one end.

After hooking it around the little bar in the middle of the baffle I then snap a pair of vice grips to the end of the bar sticking out the muffler, then I just tap on the vice grips with a hammer till they come out.

I'd also soak the baffle with some penetrating oil to help. the oil will burn out pretty fast when U start her up.
