Well i took offf my license plate bracket for a photo shoot my bike was in. I liked how it looked with the holes plugged and a cleaner look without the plate. Im wanting to relocate it. What all is out there for thses bikes. Ive seen a few swingw arm mounts. Any help is appreciated!
I had been looking for a side mount plate with no luck. When the Slim came out I was looking at it and found that I liked the plate mount that it had. Priced it out at the dealer and said "Ouch" close to $300, but it was still the one I wanted. So I kept my eyes open on the forum here and found a guy that had removed his for another style of mount. Purchased it from him, just needed a couple of other parts to make it complete. I was able to use the extra power connection inside the taillight to get power for the plate light. Next is the lay down smoked LED taillight
As far as the holes on the fender go, I am using a challenge coin holder from Motordog69. I have one on my air-cleaner and liked it so I got one to cover the fender. Once I find the coin I want it will be complete.
Pics below...
First one shows the new mount and the coin holder:

Finally, this is the coin holder on my air cleaner
Once again the Cycle Visions Eliminator. It comes with a cover for the holes and puts everything in one sleek piece with leds. It is extremely bright and flashes 3 times when you hit your brakes as well. http://www.cyclevisions.com/index.ph...ly-cv4801.html
The cyclevision solution is awesome..... but $359 is just a bit ridiculous. Just don't think I can do that. I can't imagine that there is not a similar solution for a reasonable cost.
I called Dr. V-Twin and got it for 309 shipped and yeah that is a big hit but for the brightness, safety, install ease, and no more lights to burn out it is so worth it. I also like how the turn run lights are red but the blinkers flash orange. Always remember, you get what you pay for..... $.02
