Used the stock parts. Removed seat post and cut off coil mount. Also cut off the horn mount on the top motor mount and bolted the coil mount to the motor mount. Swapped the frt and rear coil wires at the connector so I could mount the coil upside down after lenthing the wires about 12". Removed horn and replaced with a sporty horn to the front, had to lenthin the wires 6". had to use an old plug wire off an astro van V6 till the new 7" rocker wires get here (orange Taylors). Took about 4hrs cause I'd measure 3 times and cut once.
not bad.. i just did that too (obviously since we're both in the Lo Owners thread).. are you going to cross your wires since you mounted the coil up-side-down? or did you change the C/D wires when you did the extensions?
Sweet. Love this mod. Nice to get rid of that post.
Wish I would have seen this first, would have saved me alot of design time. I left a little more of the coil mount on and bolted it to the motor mount after about 3 different cuts and alot of trial and error, making sure not to take too much off. I should have taken some inprocess pictures.
You got any installed pictures? curious how close you put to the tank?

To each there own. I wanted mine high and wires going down.
Got the new wires on today, Taylor Thundervolts 8". Had trouble with the temporary wire I used on the frt cylinder. The knock Ion sensing wouldn't detect knocks on the Frt while tuning with the Power Vision. Can't ride till tomarrow so won't know if I'll have the same problem with these new wires.
