In the past if you got baffled, you were stuck with them and not able to remove the baffles, however, I believe JR with Samson recently posted they were changing that so the baffles could be removed. JR can correct me if I'm wrong on that.
Samson does now have Cholo's with removable baffles for Softails and Touring models. Please give us a call for more information 888-5-SAMSON.
Thank you,

For the baffless pipes..does that affect performance..? Ie back pressure.
For those with cholos 39"/42" do u have any issues scrapping..? Not just side to side but step inclines.. i live in east TN lots of curves and hills

The new version of the pipes has a removable fishtail that allows access to the baffle. It si extremely innovative for fishtails. As far as the fishtail sound, you either like it or you don't. Same goes for the looks.

They definitely aren't the best performing pipe out there, but the looks and sound of them is second to none.

I had 33's on mine, baffled, and they were still LOUD. Had several cops come up to me and say they sounded AWESOME. That is the Beez Knees, brother. You cant beat the sound of SAMSONS.

I agree, they look killer on the deluxe's, springer's and heritage. I did have a set on my Cross bones and the sound was just right, I always used to get the same feedback from friends and other riders they all loved the sound of them over other pipes.

Performance wise I would also agree, not the best but I aint into speeding anymore. I guess I am getting old

Yes they scrape, thats why most people have an air shock, but who cares whether they scrape or not, just get them, and dont even think about going smaller than 39's,
and you dont need baffles, the sound is infectious.

Got a friend in eastern Tn that had this Heritage Springer. Lowered with 39's..

Did all the twisties in Tn and NC.. minimal scraping... You can scrape if you want, or you can avoid it...

I'm going for 42"s

Yes they scrape on bumps, driveways, hills, rocks, turns and basically anything you drive over. Even with my shotguns on they scrape. I'm not really worried about what the bottom if them look like though. Just get used to the sound of them scraping and you will be fine.
