I think I'm getting the cholo itch...last night a bike passed me on the interstate black n white skunk tail. He pulled along side me we nodded then checked out each others bike then he took off...they sound so sweet...they were only as long as his bike..but the deep sound was amazing. I hear people talk about the baffeled v's non baffled, whats the difference. How does the sound differ with length..?
Hi Nick,
The baffled version is more quiet than the unbaffled version and does not have as the back rap like the unbaffled version. Length does have a small part in the amount of sound and the longer you go the more pronounced the sound. I hope this info helps.
Thank you,
JR
Go for it! I've got the 39s and love them! Going through the gears, when you come off the throttle to shift, they growl at you with an amazing sound. lol I've had a couple set ups and the Cholos are by the best sounding. I also don't think you'll be disappointed with the non baffle pipes.
In the past if you got baffled, you were stuck with them and not able to remove the baffles, however, I believe JR with Samson recently posted they were changing that so the baffles could be removed. JR can correct me if I'm wrong on that.
I have always had that bug. In fact it was going to be the 1st thing I did when I bought this bike was to throw a set of 39's on it. Then I rode my scooter with this 2 in to 1 on it and it runs so sweat and sounds awesome. Now having said all that I don't think an "itch" ever truly goes away once you have had it. I do think I will stay with this python pipe for this riding season as I just bought a flawless 1987 Cadillac D'Elegance, triple white. I have to start building my cash back up this summer as I have spent a ton on this bike and that Cadillac so far. I hate not having that "security" fund in the bank in case **** ever hits the fan I am not broke and unable to deal with it. I can't say that for the next riding season though. I am pretty sure next winter she is coming down for paint and then possibly the cholo's, 39" of course!
Just ordered mine a few weeks ago, girl said baffles come separate now. In case you are wondering why so long...special order on black baby cholos.
Dude, are you gonna keep your solid wheels with those cholos? I was messing with the idea of putting cholos on my bike, but I just don't know if they'd look right with anything but spoked wheels. I've just never seen 'em with anything but spokes.
When's your bike gonna be done anyway??? The anticipation is killing me, bro...
