Default Quick detach saddlebag brackets

Hey guys, I finally pulled the trigger on a set of quick detach brackets for my Heritage bags. After lots of research and some good help from you guys, I went with Boss Bag brackets. They just got here today, and without having then on the bike yet (still in storage for about 2 weeks if this snow ever leaves) I have to say I'm pretty impressed. They were by far the most expensive, and they hosed me for another $75 for the hardware covers for when the bags are off, but the quality looks great. The main advantage over the ghost brackets or other types are that the Boss Bags brackets don't stick your bags out further, they have a lower support that I feel is a must with fully loaded bags, and they completely replace the stock mounting hardware. Even the little bullet hardware covers came in a nice leather storage case. The only down side I see is that you need to leave a little room at the top of your bag to be able to get at the decoupler to release the bags, and also the total cost. Hopefully you get what you pay for. I'll report back once they are on the bike.

I don't disagree at all with what you're saying, and that crossed my mind too, but the reason I wanted to go that way was so that when I'm traveling I can pop them off quick and throw them in the hotel room so that I don't have to unpack everything or risk having my stuff stolen. Also, with this setup, the only way you would know that they are quick detach is if you looked from inside the bag.
