Is the efi module the thing under the seat at the front of a rear fender? Since the bike has vance & hines true duals shouldn't the bike have an aftermarket one? The heat sink looking thing I think is the controller doesn't have a label so I assume it's stock. the bike also has a 95" bb kit too.
yes that is the efi, having the true duals dont make a difference but the 95BB,it should have some kind of tuner on it ,either piggy back or downloanded in your efi,but guys smarter then me can chime in,i have 95 BB with TTS tuner
It sounds like the right thing but I'll take a pic to make sure. So I would have to dyno it or hook it up to a scanner to see if it's tuned properly I suppose. it seems to run pretty good but I thought it would be a little snappier with the 95" I just want to make sure the af is close.
The item you identified, under the seat and cut into the front of the rear fender is in fact the ECM. Since you have a 95 upgrade and did not mention any additional piggyback module, it is most likely that your ECM has been re-mapped by Harley.
A couple points I'd like to mention:
1. You should really invest in a Harley service manual. It is the best money you can spend for your bike.
2. If Harley performed the 95 upgrade, that information can be retrieved by any Harley Dealer via your Frame Number.
3. Harley can also identify which map was downloaded by simply plugging into your bike.
This is all information you need access to especially if you plan to do any further engine upgrades. Spend a little time and cash and visit your closest Harley Dealer.
So, how does that 95" run?
What cams? The 88's good . . . Just needs a
little more torque (mountain passes etc)

Thanks for the info. Yeah,i want to get a manual but we just got the bike. The guy we got it from was the second owner and only changed from v&h straight shots to the dresser style duals but he said the original owner had all the other mods done at the dealer so it should be close I suppose. It seems to run good and have pretty good power, but is a little more sluggish than I thought it would be. Maybe I'm expecting too much. I'll have to ride it side by side and back to back with my brothers or buddies 88"
Must be stock cams since no cams came in the pile of parts we got with it. On that note, anyone interested in a set of v&h straight shots our an almost new looking set of stock jugs and pistons?
