What torque loss? I didn't notice any at all. If anything my bike ran better. The transition the pipes make from the round pipe to the thin fishtail should give plenty of back pressure.
I purchased my bike late last year (Deluxe), had some reservation of "........should I put the exhaust on myself or just pay to have it done....hhmmm". Well, it wasn't nearly as bad as what I thought it may be...only regret was I should have went longer than 33's. As far as torque/performance, I couldn't tell that big of a difference or "loss of" for that matter. Then again, I'm old and easily entertained. Best of luck to you.....
Like the others have said, I haven't noticed much if any less torque after putting on the 39s.
Yeah, I'm sure if you put it on a dyno and run the comparatives you'll find technical differences but to us average riders who crack the throttle and just have fun riding, I really don't think you'll notice much diferrence other than the awesome look and sound you've just proudly installed yourself.
If your into drag racing and all that, your not going to be putting 39" Cholos on your scooter to start with.

The Samson true duals have a lot pieces to put together, but there is nothing complicated about them. the thing that people have the most trouble with is getting them lined up so they are even. Leave all the bolts a little loose and line everything up before tightening. Also, for the clamp that attaches the rear head pipe to the crossover, I have found that a long ball end socket allen works the best as it can be a bit difficult to reach with a regular allen wrench.
thanks everybody one more day and they should be here, also does anyone have heated grips? what are your thoughts do they make that much of a difference
TD's and straight pipes do lose low to mid tq. With a 2n1 you can easily feel the increase of power and tq - no dyno needed, sop dyno tells it all.

I just rode two weeks ago 200 miles from Folsom, Georgetown, Misquito Rd, Pioneer, Ranch Murietta, Folsom - this included altitudes of 5,000 ft with snow all around. No heated grips needed - just good gloves. That being said, several riders had heated grips and jackets. No doubt they were warm and not as layered up as me. If anything, have a shield.
