I like having one, so I don't get hit with stuff. Cleaning bugs off leather gets old after a while. lol. But then admittedly i'm partial! : )

The Deluxe is the one bike that I wouldn't put a shield on. It looks so good without one.

I think it's one of the only HD's that can pull a windshield off very nicely.

No windshield for around town or short rides! Long runs on the highway the shield goes on.

Whatever you prefer, do it.
I live in a windy place and hate the extra drag created by riding into 30mph headwinds.
