Default Socket sizes for removing back wheel

Hey Guys and Gals,

I don't have my manual in front of me so i was wondering what socket sizes were needed to removed the back wheel. More importantly the axle.

2008 Softail Custom

Thanks a lot!

I not at home now to verify, but I used an adjustable (crescent wrench) on the right side (bolt head) and Im wanting to say a 13/16 socket on the nut on the deluxe which I'd guess is pretty close to your custom. Someone will be along to confirm and will be quick to correct me if I'm wrong. LOL

For my 2010 Deluxe it was a 36mm for the rear axle nut and a 24 mm for the front axle nut.

FWIW 24mm=15/16.

I know it's been said already but it is 36mm socket and needs to be torqued 95-105 lbs when you put it back on.
