Goo-gone; aka Naphtha; aka lighter fluid.

As all that implies; caution needs to be utilized.

A buddy of mine always uses oven leaner. He's forever melting either his shoes or rain suit on his pipes. Spray the oven cleaner on a clean soft rag and hold it on the spot for a while, then wipe. Don't try to spray directly on the bike. You'll mess up things with the overspray.. Rinse with cold water afterward.

I always used Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish to take it off when I had chrome pipes on another bike.

I've considered getting some heelguards to avoid things like that, so if anyone knows if they are good tell me.

GOOF-OFF. Takes my melted boots off quickly and easily. Works best when pipes are warm (not raging hot).

Default Wrapped Pipes

Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove burnt rubber off of wrapped pipes? I don't want to have to rewrap them.

Default burnt rubber on exhaust

S100 chrome cleaner. It'll take anything off. I have even put an extra boot guard that I fashioned on my floorboard to avoid running my boot against my heat shields. S-100 chrome cleaner in the red tube does the trick. It's amazing stuff.
