Quick Review: V&H Quiet Baffles
Well, I installed the quiet baffles in my FLSTC's Big Shot Staggereds based on the positive comments I read here on the forum, and I wanted to let you know that they are GREAT and deliver as promised. They lowered the decibels just enough and reduced the "harshness" completely, and now the pipes deliver a nice, deep rumble without the raspy clatter. I really like the new tone and wish I had gotten the QBs out of the gate. I have noticed zero performance changes (good or bad). I was concerned that I would need to re-tune, but it is totally unnecessary. Highly recommended.

Sort of the same experience for me. Bike came with Longshots, but just to raspy for me. Bought the quiet baffles and as said above, lowered the dbs just a little, and gave a deeper tone. Still didn't care for the looks/sound, so went with the B&H BR. Loved the look, but sound was raspy and rin-tin-tinny, and no quiet baffles available (although considered getting the Smartpartz baffles). Just put the Fat Cat on last night. Now there's a great sound. Especially at idle, nice low rumble. But...way to loud for me (yeah, I'm an old fart). I need the quiet baffle but it's big $$$, relatively speaking.
