Have you ridden a softail before OP? If you haven't ridden one with a counterbalanced motor i suggest you try it before you buy. It's not for everyone, you can feel the motor moving them counterbalancers around while you ride.
I'm not saying it's bad, I enjoyed the motor but it's not for everyone.

I know this is great advice, and I should follow it, and I think I will, but I didn't try out the '08 Road King, or the 2010 Electra Glide Ultra Limited, and if I had, I don't think I would have bought either one. Ergonomically, neither one was right for my Height, Inseam, or Reach, but after paying a substantial "Harley Tax", I was able to get both bikes to fit me like a glove.
I'm sure there will be issues with the FB, I expect that of any Harley, but I know it's what I want, and I know that the right tweak here and there, is going to make it just right!
I've owned a FXWG(80); 84FLHTC; 02 FLTRI; 03Heritage; 98FLHTC and I like my 11 Fatboy Lo better than any of them. I could start a used seat and handlebar store with a few sets of pipes thrown in making them all fit like I wanted. A Corbin Solo seat and some Striker handle bars and this fits like a glove.

Ergonomics can be changed though. If you don't like the "B" motor that's a lot different.
The B motor does have some vibration.
At about 2000 miles it begins to smooth a bit. I used to ride shovels and Pans. It's a Harley-they are duppose vibrate and shake.

One of the things I hated about the BMW I just sold is that it didn't vibrate and make noise, one of the things I adore about my Limited is that it vibrates the **** out of you. If the FB vibrates and shakes and rattles and rolls, let's get it on!
Good stuff to read. I must saw my FB at the dealer today- getting the last tweaks as it just wast delivered to dealership yesterday. Really looking forward to it and feeling how it handles. Thx all.
