wind deflectors

I have them on an 01 Heritage and I still get enough air coming up around the tank and shooting up in my face that it rattles my helmet. Wondering what the trick is that makes it work for some of you that seem to have positive results.

I just bought a set and with about 200 miles on them can't say they make that much of a difference for me and my set up. The thing i really don't like is they take away the quick disconnect on the windshield. Probably going to take them off and put them on the shelf next time I go to wash the bike.

Here is a before and after of the Harley Wind Deflectors on my 12 Fatboy. I can deal with the looks because they really do work. They mount on the outside of the quick disconnect windshield mounts so the windshield still comes off in seconds.

Mine work ok, not great. But, I've got the shorty windvest windshield, si I get air coming up from below. If I had a full shield, for winter driving, I think they'd work a lot better.

I have been useing the chrome deflectors for a lot of years, on all my ****s. They do work,but have a downside. They like to ruse ,right behind the turn signals. Be sure to keep lots of wax in that area.
