I bought my wife a used 09 Fat Boy. The air cleaner and exaust pipes are stock but the previous owner has put a set of Rineharts on the bike. My understanding is if someone changes the mufflers on the bike it has to be tuned. How can I tell if it has a tuner or not. Is there an extra box on the bike or will it be done in the computer? The bike run great but don't want to damage the engine.
If it doesn't have a tuner are my options to go to stock mufflers or get a tuner?
you guys need to check you air cleaners, see if the back of the football is open or enclosed in the plastic airbox. Nunner, you might check behind your fender mudshield to see if a tuner box is back there, just a guess. There is a bunch of stuff in your pic under the seat I don't recognize. Just MHO.
