Default windshield bag
just bought a windshield bag for my deluxe.It didn't come with any hardware should there be or do you use the bolts from winshield?It doesnt seem to fit with the small bolt in middle of shield

Mine came with a bolt too. didn't know what the hell it was for and tossed it. just used the two buckle straps to handlebar. 'course now, it's strapped to my swingarm...

If it's a typical Harley bag it has a hole in the middle of the back and that goes over the bolt in the middle of the windshield. Just remove the nut and put the bolt through the hole and replace the nut.

Use the bolt in the center of your windshield. Thats all you need.

thats what I am trying to do but the bolt is to short cant get any thread on nut.the middle bolt is smaller than side bolts

I have the nostalgia windshield with the Deluxe model windshield bag. Went right on, no problem. The mounting bracket has a slight hex shape to it.

The bag has a flexible metal band in it. Just push it towards the windshield to make it curve and conform to the windshield. Then it will fit.

Take the bolt you took out to a hardware store and get one a little longer.

Be sure to get a stainless one or it will rust.
